WWF
The planet is under attack from an uncontrolled release of toxic chemicals.
Oceans are being polluted, forests cut down, and many species are now under threat of extinction.
Globally we are using over 20% more natural resources each year than can be regenerated.
The planet cannot keep up with our growing consumption levels. WWF works to stop this degradation of the planet’s
natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature. WWF works to address
global threats such as climate change, the consumption of natural resources and the use of toxic chemicals.
Cost: £3 minimum per month (or £36 per year).
The WWF Membership Welcome Pack contains: a welcome letter, a Membership card personalised with your membership number,
a Member’s handbook, a guide to ‘green’ living and a pair of beautiful wildlife fridge magnets.
Members will also receive WWF Action magazine 3 times a year. WWF Action is a 32pp magazine, which will include member offers (seasonal where possible). Members will be able to choose if they would like to receive WWF Action by post or online (they will be asked this in the Welcome pack).
If you feel passionate about preserving the incalculably precious heritage that is the natural world, please join WWF. With so much at stake, you will be glad to know you are supporting the world’s largest independent conservation organisation.
• Help to protect threatened species like the orang-utan, tiger and dolphin.
• Protect and preserve endangered habitats like the Amazon rainforest and UK coastal waters and wetlands.
• Campaign for cleaner oceans to protect both animals and people from pollution.
• Combat global warming by persuading governments to do more to tackle this serious threat to our future.
